Blue Ridge Parkway

Behind Yellowstone and the Great Smoky Mountains, the Blue Ridge Parkway ranks as the third most visited national park in the country. Starting in Cherokee and streching all the way to Virginia, the parkway is the most scenic drive in the states.

The parkway offers thousands of “turn-outs” with incredible views. the Highest point on the parkway is Richland Balsam Overlook, Milepost 431.4 at 6047 feet. Other favorite stopping spots are Graveyard Fields with short hikes, great views and waterfalls, Devil’s Courthouse – more great views and the Pisgah Inn with incredible dining overlooking three states.

Sections of the parkway close during winter so call ahead for information and conditions.
