Winter 2012
It’s been a relatively warm winter but Cataloochee has done a terrific job making snow. The amount of equipment and the ability to make so much snow in one cold night is amazing.
We have about 5 weeks left of great skiing. Don’t let time slip by without going skiing this year

Summer 2011
Summer is almost upon us. Bookings have been strong, so we are looking for a good solid summer.
As always we have done a lot of work this spring and will wrap it up over the next couple of weeks. Villas 4 and 5 have had an extensive amount of work done inside and look great.

Renovations

It’s spring! Although last night we got some light snow on the mountain tops. Always a beautiful view.
As most of our repeat guests know…every spring we clean,
landscape and replace/repair. This year is no different.
We are currently replacing all the flooring in Villas 4 and 5,
along with a lot of other updating.
New chairs are ordered for most of the rooms and we are continuing to swap out the Televisions for LCD flat screens.
With February being warmer then usual we got a lot of our April landscaping finished early. It’s nice to be ahead on this project for a change.
We are also in the final stages of renovating two of the deluxe rooms.
So come and enjoy.

Early Summer Bookings

This year we are encouraging early summer bookings by lowering our rates for this summer now. As dates start filling in we will go back to the same rates that we had for the last two summers. We encourage you that if you are planning on traveling this summer call us asap this spring in order to get the best summer rates we have had in many years..

White Christmas

Today, they are forecasting a Perfect snow for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. By perfect I mean just a few inches in the valley and higher amounts up top (skiing).
Everything is setting up perfectly!!

Snow and Skiing

We have experienced a couple of dustings of snow, but more importantly for the ski area, we have had very cold weather.
They are making enough snow this week to guarantee plenty of great conditions for the rest of the Month. The cold is forecast
through at least the next seven days. Right now they have 18-80 inches but that will improve dramatically by the weekend.

Come enjoy uncrowded slopes and phenomenal conditions!
The real crowds don’t come until Christmas so take advantage of a slower time. As I write this it is 18 in Asheville and 12 at the slopes.
